Missy's Bio

Missy is our prized English Shire mare. Not only does she have the most impressive bloodlines of all our shires, but she is also our most successful show horse to date. Missy was imported in utero from England in 2001 by Lorri Robinson of Scratchbottom Shires. She has some of the best bloodlines available in the U.S.A. as well as England. Missy's sire, Walton Supreme, still resides in England. He is one of the best Super Premium stallions alive in England right now and very well-known and respected both in England and the United States. Missy's dam, Barval April May, placed 8th in the highly competitive Shire Horse of the Year championships in England before being imported to the United States in 2001. In 2005, April took Grand Champion mare at the 2005 National Shire Show at her first show here in the states. Missy has been participating in shows since 2003. In 2008, she only participated in one show, the Central Regional Shire Show at the Ohio State Fair. Missy took Reserve Grand Champion mare and won both gentleman and ladies cart classes, and her 2008 filly foal, Nottingham Gretchen, placed first in weanling Shire fillies. In 2008 Missy began working for the company during the Christmas Holiday Season. She is currently available for all special events outside Atlanta. If you are interested in a black Shire like Missy for your downtown Atlanta event, Angel and Lil' John are available for the downtown Atlanta area. Missy is very clever and is often seen carrying buckets, lead lines, etc. in her mouth.
